The Flava Trap LLC · Effective Date: July 14, 2026
The Flava Trap LLC ("The Flava Trap," "we," "us," or "our") operates a mobile food
truck and catering business serving Connecticut and New York, and the website at
https://theflavatrap.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains
what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you submit our booking or inquiry form,
we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, event type, event
date, guest count, and any details you include in your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site we and
our analytics provider may automatically collect device and usage information such as
IP address, browser type, pages viewed, time on page, approximate location
(city-level), and referring website, using cookies and similar technologies.
We do not collect payment card information through the Site. Any payments for
catering services are arranged separately and handled through the payment method
agreed at booking.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: respond to booking requests and inquiries;
prepare quotes and provide catering and food-truck services; communicate about your
event; announce pop-up locations if you have asked us to; understand how visitors use
the Site so we can improve it; protect against spam, fraud, and abuse; and comply with
legal obligations.
3. Cookies & Google Analytics
The Site uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to
help us understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and
collects information such as pages visited, time spent, device type, and approximate
location. We have enabled IP anonymization.
When you first visit the Site, a banner lets you accept or decline
analytics cookies. If you decline, Google Analytics cookies are not set. You can
change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. You can
also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the
Google
Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can learn how Google uses data at
policies.google.com.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it
with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with: service
providers who help us operate (for example, our website host, email provider, and
Google Analytics); professional advisers where necessary; and authorities when
required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, customers, or the public. If
our business is ever sold or merged, customer information may transfer as part of that
transaction.
5. Data Retention
We keep booking inquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to serve
your event and for our reasonable business records, then delete or anonymize them.
Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.
6. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to
protect personal information, consistent with applicable law, including the New York
SHIELD Act. Our booking form uses anti-spam and anti-abuse protections, and access to
inquiry information is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or
storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information.
Connecticut residents: the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA)
provides rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal data, and to
opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling. New York
residents: you may request information about our data practices. Regardless
of whether a particular law applies to a business of our size, we will honor
reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete your information. To make a request,
contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for
exercising any privacy right.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us
personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Third-Party Links
The Site links to third-party platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Those
platforms have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their
practices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above shows
when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.

The Flava Trap LLC · Effective Date: July 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at
https://theflavatrap.com (the "Site"), operated by The Flava Trap LLC
("The Flava Trap," "we," "us," or "our"), and your booking of our food-truck and
catering services. By using the Site or booking our services, you agree to these
Terms.
1. Our Services
The Flava Trap provides mobile food-truck service, pop-up sales, and event catering
across Connecticut and New York. The Site provides information about our menu,
schedule, and services, and lets you submit booking inquiries and pre-order
requests.
2. Booking, Quotes & Payment
Submitting the booking form is an inquiry, not a confirmed booking.
A booking is confirmed only when we provide a written quote and you accept it,
including any required deposit. Quotes are based on the guest count, menu, date, and
location you provide; changes to those details may change the price. Final guest
counts, deposit amounts, payment methods, and due dates will be communicated with your
quote.
3. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds
Cancellation and rescheduling terms, including whether a deposit is refundable, are
stated in your quote or catering agreement. Events cancelled close to the event date
may forfeit some or all of the deposit, since food and staffing are committed in
advance. Weather or safety conditions that prevent safe operation of the truck may
require rescheduling, and we will work with you in good faith to find a new date or
alternative arrangement.
4. Food Allergies & Dietary Notice
Please read carefully. Our food is prepared in kitchens and on
equipment that handle common allergens, including (without limitation) fish,
shellfish, dairy, eggs, wheat/gluten, soy, and peanuts/tree nuts. While we take care
with dietary requests, we cannot guarantee that any item is free of
any allergen. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, or eggs may
increase your risk of foodborne illness. You are responsible for informing your
guests of this notice and for telling us about allergies when booking.
5. Acceptable Use of the Site
You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; submit false, misleading, or
abusive inquiries; attempt to interfere with the Site's operation or security
(including its anti-spam protections); scrape or harvest data from the Site; or
infringe anyone's rights.
6. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content — including the "The Flava Trap" name and logo, text,
photographs, and design — are owned by The Flava Trap LLC or its licensors and are
protected by trademark and copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them
commercially without our prior written permission.
7. Third-Party Services
The Site links to third-party platforms (such as Instagram, Facebook, and Google). We
do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or
practices.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by
law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability,
fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the
Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that schedule information (such
as pop-up times and locations) will not change.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Flava Trap LLC and its members, managers,
and employees will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or
punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or our services, and our total
liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the services giving
rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited
under applicable law, including under Connecticut or New York consumer-protection
law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Flava Trap LLC from claims, damages, and
expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these
Terms or misuse of the Site.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to
conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be
brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to
their jurisdiction, except that either party may pursue qualifying claims in small
claims court. For services performed in New York, nothing in this section waives
rights you may have under New York law.
12. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
These Terms, together with your quote or catering agreement and our Privacy Policy,
are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and our services. We
may update these Terms from time to time; the "Effective Date" above shows the latest
revision, and continued use of the Site after changes means you accept them.
